In a truly civil society, people can always embrace differences. Like in Hong Kong before 1997, we called you "Ah Chan" and "Biu Suk" and you would call us "pseudo-westerners". Even after 1997, we called you "locusts" and you called us "the US running dogs", and we still felt fine.
Unlike today, everything in life has to first be categorically swept to the yellow or the blue camp before it is derided, stripped and attacked in a massive wave until only the yellow ribbon fanatics and leftwards remain.
